Abstract

         In the West, a variety of post-modern theory is attacking modernization, and research scholars of Whiteheadian philosophy believe whitehead also provided a kind of postmodernism, but he differs from other famous French thoughts. He is better able to appreciate the achievements of modernization. In the first part of this text, the author points out Western modernity's basic features; a brief description of them already shows what kind of problem they will bring and then how Whiteheadian philosophy respond to them. In part two, the author explores several specific problems facing China's modernization. In part three, the author, based on Whiteheadian philosophy, offered several suggestions for China's modernization.
