Abstract

In the context of the ecological crisis which has arisen partly as a result of the Western worldview which separates humanity from nature, denies purpose in nature, and refuses to recognize the claims of non-human entities, a world-view which emphasizes the Taoist conception of reality as an inter-related unity can provide a healthful alternative, one which can support the claim of the environmental movement.
